While every music service battles to create the perfect music playlist, we believe that they already exist, but are simply locked in a medium filled with interruptions and inconvenience - radio. Recast lets you tune in to the playlists of all the radio stations you know (and a whole load more, from all over the world), and builds a great music listening experience around that. It's the best part of radio, without any of the worse. As users are listening, we collect data about how they feel about the music on that station's playlist (by measuring things like where they skip tracks), and how that changes over time, which we then use to help stations optimise their playlists through understanding when they should be playing particular tracks more and when they should be playing them less (or not at all). We've been in private beta for the last few months, and are launching applications for web and iPhone in the next few weeks.
