The mobile app aims to help communities alert each other by sending and receiving crime related notifications on their smartphones. The app also lists Hijack, Smash and Grab and other related hot spots added by the app users. When sending alerts, the app searches for users within a radius of 3 Km from your current location and sends them the alert. You can send an alert from home, restaurant, and shopping mall basically from anywhere. The notification is restricted to 3 Km so as to provide relevant information to the receiver. When you take a trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town once you are there you automatically receive notifications related to that area if you wish to without changing any settings.
